Silvia Pliskin has extensive experience in case management and community service, currently serving as a CPST Case Manager at Murtis Taylor Human Services Center since April 2013. In addition, Silvia has been a Field Interviewer with Westat since January 2013, responsible for locating sampled households and conducting interviews. Previous roles include Trainer at the American Red Cross Greater Cleveland Chapter, Enumerator at Headway Corporation for the National Children Study, and Case Manager for Foster Care at Beacon Agency. Earlier experiences involve advocating for youth and supervising dietary operations. Silvia holds a BS in Nutrition from Notre Dame College, an LSW in Social Work from Cleveland, and a CDCA in Chemical Dependency from Life Recovery Development Institute.

Murtis Taylor Human Services System is a county-wide United Way charitable organization that provides Community Mental Health, Alcohol and other addiction services, Youth, Family, and Senior services. It serves more than 11,000 children and adults annually. Youth and Family Services are provided in the Garden Valley, East Cleveland and Mt. Pleasant communities. Senior Services are provided in the Mt. Pleasant community. These include a broad range of culturally appropriate and diverse community services and programs. Community Mental Health services, which are clinical in nature, are provided countywide. These include a culturally appropriate and comprehensive array of outpatient and residential treatment. Murtis Taylor Human Services System is licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services as a Three (3)-Star Rated Step Up to Quality childcare center, the Ohio Department of Mental Health, Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services and nationally accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
