Dr. James Holemon Jr. serves as the Director of Leadership and Professional Development for Muscogee County School District since July 2023. Previously, Dr. Holemon held the position of School Principal and Assistant Principal at Sussex County Public Schools from July 2017 to July 2023 and served as an Assistant Principal at Franklin City Public Schools from August 2015 to June 2017. Dr. Holemon's academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership and Administration from Old Dominion University, two Master of Education degrees in Administration and Supervision Prek-12 and Curriculum and Instruction from Hampton University and Regent University, respectively, and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Carson-Newman University.
