Sarah Weber Oettel currently serves as the Director of Foundation Relations at the Muscular Dystrophy Association since April 2024. Previously, Sarah held the position of Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at the Kennedy Krieger Institute from 2002 to April 2024, where responsibilities included managing grant proposals and cultivation strategies that generated over $3 million annually to support the mission of assisting children and adolescents with neurological disorders. Sarah's experience also includes roles as Grant Writer at the Kennedy Krieger Institute, Annual Fund Coordinator at The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, and Development Coordinator at Be The Match operated by the National Marrow Donor Program. Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a Writing Concentration from Salisbury University.
