Lucia Piedra is an accomplished academic and cultural professional with extensive experience in teaching, curating, and cultural analysis. Currently serving as an In-house Tutor and Critical Theory Teacher at Metàfora - Centre de Art i Artteràpia since September 2022 and as a Creative Writing Professor at Universidad de las Artes de Ecuador since September 2021, Lucia emphasizes the use of critical theories, including postcolonial and decolonial perspectives, in educational methodologies. In addition, Lucia is actively involved in cultural policy analysis as a member of the Executive Committee of Barcelona's Culture Council and has held a leadership role at Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona coordinating the Afro/Black Thought, Practices, and Activisms Group. With a solid background in art restoration and corporate image design, Lucia’s educational credentials include a Master's degree in Comparative Literature from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and independent curatorial training, further enriching a robust portfolio of innovative projects and cultural contributions.
