Charles Powers has a diverse work experience in photography and arts-related roles. Charles started their career at UCLA LIVE WELL as a Freelance Photographer in 2013. Charles then worked as a Program Counselor at UCLA DMA Summer Institute and as a Freelance Photographer/Videographer at Rebeca Mendez Studio in 2014. Charles also served as a Design | Media Arts Department Photographer at UCLA Arts, documenting events and exhibitions. In 2015, they worked as a Production Intern at Imprint Projects and as a Videographer/Photographer at UCLA Arts. Charles also freelanced as a Photographer for Diane Krön Chocolatier. In 2017, they were a Gallery Invigilator at Hauser & Wirth. Charles has also worked at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) in various roles, including Gallery Media Assistant/On-Site Services Associate, Operator of Alejandro Iñárritu's Carne y Arena, and Facilities Logistics Assistant II. Currently, they are a Photographer at LACMA, where they photograph artwork and documents exhibitions and museum programs.
Charles Powers attended UCLA from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Design and Media Arts.
