Jacqueline Piña Ascencio has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and organizations. Jacqueline began their career as a Research Assistant at CSULB in September 2017 and worked there until May 2018. From August to November 2018, they served as a Graphic Design Intern at MOLAA | Museum of Latin American Art. In 2018, they also became a Research Fellow for the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship Program, a position they held until July 2020. Additionally, from August 2019 to July 2020, they worked as a Peer Advisor at the Office of Undergraduate Research - California State University, Long Beach. In June 2021, they gained experience as an Academic Programs and Publications Intern at the UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center, completing their internship in September of the same year. Starting in July 2020, they joined the Spanish Ministry of Education, North American & Language Cultural Assistant, working as an English Teaching Assistant until July 2022. Currently, Jacqueline works as a Data Specialist at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), a position they began in November 2022. Throughout their career, they also held the role of Editor and Proofreader for Latin American and Latinx Visual Culture since October 2020.

Jacqueline Piña Ascencio pursued their education in Art History and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Long Beach. Jacqueline attended this institution from 2016 to 2020.
