Nandi Jordan

Nandi Jordan, PhD has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Nandi worked at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) from 2016, starting as a Digital Content Specialist - Mellon/ACLS Public Fellow. In this role, they used digital initiatives to increase engagement with LACMA's programming and produced audio and video storytelling products. Nandi later became a Media Producer and eventually the Director of Media Production.

In 2016, Nandi also worked as a Consultant at the Sundance Institute and was responsible for researching innovations in the field of story/moving image, coordinating programming, and maintaining databases.

From 2015 to 2016, Nandi worked as a Research Analyst at the Norman Lear Center Media Impact Project at the University of Southern California. Their responsibilities included providing writing and research assistance, developing discussions, and offering guidance on engagement strategies.

Nandi also had experience in qualitative research, working as a Research Consultant at Ipsos in 2013 and as a Freelance Consultant | Qualitative Researcher from 2008 to 2015. During their freelance work, they were involved in various projects, including a multimedia storytelling project, a documentary production, and a research imaging project.

Nandi has also worked as a Strategic Planning Consultant at Walton Isaacson in 2013, as a University Instructor and Fellow at New York University from 2007 to 2012, as a Researcher (Contract) at Common Ground Community in 2009, and as a Research Assistant at the Social Science Research Council from 2006 to 2007.

Nandi Jordan, PhD, received their education from renowned institutions. Nandi completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Sociology at Emory University from 1998 to 2002. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Sociology at New York University, where they studied from 2005 to 2008. Nandi continued their academic journey at New York University and obtained their Ph.D. in Sociology from 2005 to 2013. Nandi's educational background showcases their expertise and commitment to the field of Sociology.
