Polly dela Rosa

Polly Dela Rosa has a diverse range of work experience in education and the arts. Polly started their career at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) as a Content Specialist for Mobile Programs, where they created curricula and facilitated art workshops aligned with history/social studies standards. Polly then worked as an Educator for Mobile Programs, facilitating student discussions about art objects from various cultures.

In addition, Polly has experience at the Filipino Cultural School, where they served as an Administrative Coordinator, overseeing online educational programming and moderating Zoom sessions. Polly also held multiple roles including Head of Education and Graduation, General Board Member, Education and Academic Planning Committee Member, and Instructor. In these positions, they developed curricula, provided support to instructors, collaborated with external entities for cultural workshops, and promoted Filipino culture.

Polly's experience also includes working as a Teacher's Assistant at California State University-Dominguez Hills in the Asian-American Studies department, where they provided feedback and advising to students. Polly worked as an Art Instructor at Meet the Masters, preparing art curricula for K-8 students based on classical artists. At Fusion Academy, they were a History/English Teacher, creating individualized lesson plans for middle and high school students.

Polly has also worked at California State University, Northridge as a History Department Writing Center Tutor and Teaching Assistant, providing feedback to students and leading discussions on Western civilization. Polly gained experience in youth development projects as a Youth Development Projects Intern at SEARCH TO INVOLVE PILIPINO AMERICANS, where they planned and facilitated workshops for a summer intensive program and a leadership conference.

Additionally, Polly worked as a Collegebound Tutor at Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley, providing instruction in history, writing, and mathematics. Polly also served as a Getty Multicultural Intern at the UCLA Fowler Museum, organizing events, conducting research, and networking with guests. Polly gained experience as a Museum Guard, ensuring the safety of the museum, responding to inquiries, and operating security consoles.

Polly Dela Rosa's education history begins in 2005 when they graduated from Van Nuys High School with a Diploma with Honors. From 2009 to 2013, they attended Los Angeles Pierce College, where their field of study was Art History, Criticism, and Conservation. However, they did not earn a degree from this institution. From 2010 to 2013, they attended Los Angeles Valley College, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Behavioral and Social Sciences. Following this, from 2013 to 2015, Polly pursued their Bachelor's degree in Art History, Criticism, and Conservation at UCLA. Lastly, from 2015 to 2017, they attended California State University, Northridge, where they obtained a Master's Degree in History.
