Rebecca Horta has a diverse work experience in the art and museum field. Rebecca is currently serving as the Director of Youth & Family Programs at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). Prior to that, they worked for the City of Los Angeles as an Arts Manager in the Department of Cultural Affairs, Public Art Division, where they managed the Art Exhibition Program at Los Angeles World Airports (LAX) and supervised various art projects.
Rebecca also has experience working as the Curator of Education at the Ontario Museum of History & Art for the City of Ontario, where they directed the education department's program development and community outreach initiatives. Rebecca has also worked as an Art History Instructor at Cypress College and as an Associate Curator of Education at MOLAA | The Museum of Latin American Art.
Additionally, Rebecca has held positions at the J. Paul Getty Trust and the American Museum of Ceramic Art as an intern and educator.

Rebecca Horta pursued their education with dedication and achieved significant milestones in their academic journey. From 2002 to 2006, they attended Occidental College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Their major was in Art History, with a double minor in Education and Spanish Cultural Studies.
After completing their undergraduate studies, Rebecca furthered their education at John F. Kennedy University from 2006 to 2008. During this time, they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Museum Studies. This advanced degree provided their with specialized knowledge and skills related to the field of museum studies.
