Esperanza Sanchez is an experienced Associate Curator at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes, responsible for the conception and oversight of exhibitions focused on local history, culture, and art. Sanchez collaborates with various partners for exhibition development, manages project budgets, conducts research, and coordinates exhibition logistics. Additional roles include serving as Vice President and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Board Member for the Museum Educators of Southern California and as a Guest Curator at the Museum of Latin American Art. Previous experience includes positions at the Autry Museum of the American West, California State University, Northridge, and Pacific Palisades Charter High School, complemented by a Master’s Degree in History and Public History and dual Bachelor’s Degrees in History and Sociology, all from California State University, Northridge.
