Gregor Hagedorn currently serves as a Senior Researcher and Academic Director at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin since May 2013, focusing on sustainable future analyses. As the Head of Digital World, Gregor oversees initiatives in biodiversity informatics and digital citizen science. In addition to these roles, Gregor is the Initiator of Scientists For Future and is involved with various organizations, including serving as a member of the VDI interdisziplinäres Gremium für Klimaschutz und Energiewende, spokesperson for NABU’s Bundesfachausschuss Nachhaltigkeit, and expert consultant for the European Commission. Previous positions include heading biowikifarm operations at Plazi and contributing to biodiversity information standards as a convener at TDWG. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Biodiversity Informatics from the University of Bayreuth and a Diplom in Biology from the University of Tübingen.
