Johannes Vogel serves as the Director General of the Museum für Naturkunde since February 2012 and holds multiple prestigious positions including Trustee at the Falling Walls Foundation, President of the European Citizen Science Association, Vice Chair of the Leibniz Biodiversity Network, and Deputy Chair of the German Bioeconomy Council. With an academic role as Professor of Biodiversity and Public Science at Humboldt University of Berlin, Vogel's expertise extends to organismal biology through participation in the Centre for Organismal Studies' Scientific Advisory Committee.
