Sophie Fernandez

Sophie Fernandez has been serving as an illustratrice et graphiste scientifique at Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle since January 2011, focusing on the creation of precise naturalist drawings in collaboration with the scientific community, including fossil descriptions and paleoenvironment reconstructions. Notable achievements include the production of two large murals for the 2021 L'Odyssée sensorielle exhibition in Paris. Prior experience includes freelance graphic design for the Bureau des Étudiants du Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle from 2014 to 2019, where Sophie created promotional materials for a natural history scientists’ conference. Earlier roles include a position as a pedagogical designer at KTM Advance and an internship in interior architecture at Agence EOS architecture. Sophie holds a Master 2 professionnel in Multimedia and Applied Arts from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, alongside degrees in medical and scientific illustration and communication design.
