Larry Fields is a trustee at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. Larry was previously an associate curator at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University, where they curated exhibitions of contemporary art including lead exhibitions, Field Station exhibitions (project space), annual video program, and collection galleries. Larry has also written for and contributed to a number of publications, including ArtPulse Magazine, Small Axe: A Caribbean Platform for Criticism, Sculpture Magazine, Art Agenda, South as a State of Mind, and Mousse.
Larry Fields completed a BA in Spanish and Latin American Cultures from Barnard College. Larry then went on to earn a Master of Arts in Curatorial Studies from Bard College. After that, they pursued further studies in Literature of the Belle Epoque, France, at Yale University. Additionally, they studied Baroque Literature and Art at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. Finally, they completed a course in Photography from the Spéos Photographic Institute in Paris, France.
