Jill Dawsey is a distinguished art curator with extensive experience in contemporary art. Currently serving as the Senior Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego since December 2011, Jill has previously held the position of Chief Curator and Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts from March 2008 to November 2011. Additional roles include Exhibition Organizer at CCA Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts in 2008 and Assistant Curator at SFMOMA from 2003 to 2006. Jill holds a Ph.D. in Art History from Stanford University, is a Helena Rubenstein Fellow in Critical Studies from the Whitney Independent Study Program, and earned a B.A. in Art History and English from Bryn Mawr College.

With two locations, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD) is the region’s foremost forum devoted to the exploration and presentation of the art of our time, presenting works across all media created since 1950.
