Patrick McMahon is an experienced museum professional, currently serving as the Director of Renovations and Gallery Displays and Director of Exhibitions at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, since December 1999. In these roles, Patrick oversees exhibition coordination and gallery renovation projects, managing financial aspects and exhibition contracts. Prior experience includes serving as Curatorial Planning and Project Manager at the same museum, where Patrick led departmental operations and strategic planning for the American Wing construction. Patrick also contributed as a Peer Reviewer for the Institute of Museum and Library Services from November 2004 to April 2016. Earlier career roles at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum involved managing the curatorial department and handling collection logistics, culminating in over eight years of diverse curatorial experience. Patrick holds a BA in History from Boston College and has pursued further training through the Museum Leadership Institute.
