John Fernie

John Fernie is an experienced audio-visual professional currently serving as a Senior Audio Visual Coordinator at Tākina Events since May 2023 and at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa since July 2022. Prior roles include Functions and Events AV Coordinator and Technical Operator at the Museum from 2014 to 2022, and Production Manager at Newlight from 2012 to 2014. John has also held positions as Technical Production Manager at Videoplus Pty Ltd and Audio/Visual Technician at Multi-Media Systems Limited. John holds a Diploma in Audio Engineering and Music Production from Tai Poutini Polytechnic, completed between 2004 and 2006, and attended Wellington College from 1996 to 2000.
