Chevy Humphrey is the President and CEO of the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. Chevy has held this position since January 2021.
Previously, Ms. Humphrey served as the President and CEO of the Arizona Science Center from 1998 to 2021. During their time at the helm of the organization, they led a financial turnaround, expanded the center’s assets twelve-fold, and conceptualized a multi-faceted Learning Team that has become a national exemplar. Ms. Humphrey also has experience as a Director of Development, having served in this role at The Phoenix Symphony from 1995 to 1998.
Ms. Humphrey is a passionate advocate for science education and has been instrumental in securing internationally renowned exhibitions for the Museum of Science and Industry, including the world debut of Victoria the T.rex. Under their leadership, the Museum has also forged partnerships with high-impact businesses, nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education, civic institutions, and advocacy organizations across the state.
A native of Arizona, Ms. Humphrey holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Arizona State University.
Chevy Humphrey has a Doctorate of Business Administration from Grand Canyon University, a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University, and an Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders from Stanford University. Chevy also has a Boards that Lead Program from The Wharton School and an Advanced Management Certification from Yale University. Chevy is also certified from the NACD in Director Professionalism.
