Chief Of Curatorial Affairs And Public Programs at Museum of the African Diaspora

Key Jo Lee has extensive experience in the museum and academic field. From June 2017 to February 2021, they worked at The Cleveland Museum of Art, starting as an Assistant Director of Academic Affairs and later becoming the Director of Academic Affairs and Associate Curator of Special Projects. In July 2022, they were promoted to the position of Associate Curator of American Art at the same institution. Additionally, they have held the position of Chief of Curatorial Affairs and Public Programs at the Museum of the African Diaspora since December 2022. Prior to their work at The Cleveland Museum of Art, Key Jo Lee was a Doctoral Candidate at Yale University.

Key Jo Lee earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Rutgers University between 2005 and 2009. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the field of History of Art/African American Studies at Yale University from 2009 to 2020.
