Austin Smith

Austin Smith currently serves as the Government Affairs Coordinator at The Metropolitan Museum of Art since March 2025 and has held the position of Special Assistant to the Executive Director at the Museum of the Moving Image since July 2022. Prior experience includes serving as Special Assistant to the Director at Serve America PAC and as Legislative Aide in the Office of Delegate Jerrauld "Jay" Jones. Austin was also a Field Organizer for the Elaine Luria for Congress campaign and worked as an Intern/Research Assistant at Wexler | Walker. Early professional experience includes an internship at the Institute of World Politics. Austin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Global Affairs from George Mason University, completed in 2017.
