Director Of Exhibition Management And Design at Museum of the Moving Image

Danae Colomer has a diverse work experience in exhibition management and design. Danae currently holds the position of Director of Exhibition Management and Design at the Museum of the Moving Image since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Ralph Appelbaum Associates from 2010 to 2020, where they served as a Project Manager and 3D Designer. Danae also gained experience as an Intern Exhibition Design at MATTER Practice in 2010, where they assisted in the preparation of exhibition design materials and collaborated with graphic and multimedia designers. Additionally, they worked as a Collaborator in Architecture competitions at Herrera Arquitectos in 2008, contributing to the design process of the "ARS NATURA" exhibit. In 2007, they interned at the Exhibition Design department of Centre Pompidou and served as an Art Director for the "Novio" Short Film. Danae began their career as an Assistant Art Director for freelance work with art director Hector Marin from 2004 to 2007.

Danae Colomer's education history begins in 1999 when they attended the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Danae completed their Bachelor's degree in Architecture, focusing on Project Design, Architecture History, and Thesis, in 2009. In that same year, they also attained a Master's in Exhibition Design with a concentration in Graphic Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Additionally, for a year from 2004 to 2005, they pursued further architectural studies in Stage Design at the École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Paris-La Villette.
