Wim Boonen

Wim Boonen serves as the Bestuursvoorzitter at Museum Thorn since January 2020. Previously, Wim held the position of CEO at Enervalis from September 2019 to June 2023, focusing on the transition to 100% green energy. As Directeur at Enovum Energie BV from February 2013 to June 2023, Wim assisted organizations in developing strategic Energy Transition Plans. Other notable roles include Country Manager Retail for Total in the Netherlands, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Huismerk Energie N.V., and Directeur Energiebedrijf at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Wim has a rich background in the energy sector, having held various leadership roles at Essent and Energiedirect.nl, where significant improvements in commercial performance and customer growth were achieved. Wim holds a Master of Science in Change Management from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Bachelor of Science in Information Management from Fontys University of Applied Sciences.
