Chemical Engineer at Mushroom Material

Maxime Barbier is a Materials Technologist at Scion since March 2018, focusing on the research and development of new composites, plastics, and biopolymers, including the development of biobased materials suitable for prototyping and additive manufacturing. Prior experience includes a research internship at IMT Lille Douai, where Maxime studied the recyclability of biobased polymers, and a research assistant internship at Northern Kentucky University, concentrating on the synthesis of organic compounds for photovoltaic cells. Previous roles also include a part-time position as an order picker at IKEA Group. Maxime holds a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Lille 1 and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Université de Bretagne Occidentale, along with a DUT in Physic Measurements from IUT Lannion.
