Head of Royalties at Mushroom

Lee Barlow is the Head of Royalties at Mushroom. Lee has over twelve years of experience in the music industry, working in artist and label management, music publishing, and royalties.

Lee began their career as a Group Royalty Manager at [PIAS], overseeing a team of royalty managers and administrators across the [PIAS] Entertainment Group. In this role, they were responsible for monthly distributions and quarterly and biannual artist statements for 1,500 clients, including major labels and artists such as The Beggars Group, Domino Recording Company, Ninja Tune Records, Big Brother Recordings, Infectious Music, Mute Records, BMG Rights Management, Nuclear Blast, Sub Pop Records, Secretly Canadian, Wichita Records, Future Classic, Bella Union, Texas, Alt-J, Flume, Chet Faker, Bloc Party, The Black Keys, Eels and The Pixies.

In 2015, Lee left [PIAS] to join Collarts (Australian College of the Arts) as a Visiting Lecturer, where they developed and taught content for a module entitled 'The Economics of Entertainment' for Collarts' Entertainment Management Diploma of Arts.

Lee returned to Mushroom Group in 2016, where they are now Head of Royalties. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the administration of royalties for the company's roster of artists.

Lee Barlow graduated from London Metropolitan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Media Management.

Lee Barlow works with Andy Purcell - Director, Communications, Tom Connellan - Marketing & Brand Director, and Benjamin Strong - Head of Legal & Business Affairs. Lee Barlow reports to Matt Gudinski, Executive Director.
