Alvin Cobb

Alvin Cobb is an accomplished percussionist, educator, composer, arranger, and producer based in the Atlanta metropolitan area. With a strong educational background, including a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Florida State University, Alvin has extensive experience in various musical roles. Since July 2007, Alvin has led the company Alvin Cobb, Jr. Music, while also serving on the front of house staff at Music Box Theatre since December 2015. Past roles include adjunct music instructor at Chicago Public Schools, drum set instructor at Reverb Lessons, graduate assistant in the Jazz Studies Program at Northwestern University, and percussion instructor at Luella High School. Through these positions, Alvin has contributed to the development of music programs, directed percussion ensembles, and taught a diverse range of students in both online and in-person settings.
