Carlos R. Cardenas

Carlos R. Cardenas is currently a trustee at the Music Institute of Chicago. Prior to this, they served as Senior Vice President at FirstMerit Bank from February 2010 to April 2013. Carlos was also with JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. for almost 10 years, where they started as a VP - Risk Advisor in February 1999, before becoming a VP - Relationship Manager in December 2001 and eventually an FVP - Relationship Manager in January 2004. In May 2006, they were promoted to SVP Division Manager, a position they held until November 2008. From 1994 to 1999, Carlos was a Senior Consultant at Arthur Andersen LLP, where they worked in the Derivatives & Treasury Risk Management Consulting from 1997 to 1999 and in the Commercial Assurance Practice from 1994 to 1997. In 1993, they interned at McDonald's Corporation.

Carlos R. Cardenas has a BS in Accounting/Finance from Gies College of Business - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a High School Diploma from Lane Technical College Prep High School.
