Carrie Anselmo is an experienced music educator currently serving as the Orchestra Director for 6th-8th grade at Caruso Middle School in Deerfield District 109 since August 2014, while also instructing Suzuki Violin for ages 7 to 14 at the Music Institute of Chicago since August 2015. Anselmo previously held positions as the High School Orchestra Director and Suzuki Strings Instructor at Pekin Community High School, and has experience as a student teacher in various educational settings, including general music, band, and orchestra at Glenbard East High School. Anselmo's teaching career includes private lessons in violin, piano, and strings, as well as leading youth orchestras and ensembles. Anselmo holds a Master’s Degree in Music Teacher Education from VanderCook College of Music and has completed Suzuki training through the Suzuki Association of the Americas.

Music Institute locations include Chicago, Evanston, Winnetka, Lincolnshire, Lake Forest, and Downers Grove. In addition, the Music Institute is proud of its longstanding partnership with the Chicago Public Schools through its Arts Link program. The Music Institute offers lessons and classes, and concerts through its Community Music School, Academy, and Nichols Concert Hall.
