Liz Wakefield

Liz Wakefield, MLT, currently serves as a Senior Laboratory Technologist in Hematology and previously worked in various roles at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare since May 2018. Experience also includes a Medical Laboratory Technologist position at West Parry Sound Health Centre and a Medical Laboratory Technologist Student role at Mount Sinai Hospital, where an extensive clinical training internship was completed. Key contributions include preparing and running quality control alongside patient samples to support the integration of new Roche Cobas 8100 Chemistry analyzers. Additional experience encompasses leadership within the Student Association of St. Lawrence College, managing a significant budget, and a variety of customer service and operations roles at Porter Airlines Inc. and Queen's University. Liz holds multiple relevant educational credentials, including an Advanced Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science from The Michener Institute of Education at UHN.
