Lotifa Begum

Lotifa Begum is currently serving as the Public Affairs & Communications Manager at the Muslim Council of Britain since September 2025. Prior to this role, Lotifa held the position of Global Advocacy & Campaigns Adviser at Malala Fund from February 2020 to June 2025 and participated in the American Express Leadership Academy as an alumnus with Common Purpose in October 2019. Lotifa was the Global Advocacy Lead at Islamic Relief Worldwide from November 2011 to June 2017 and founded The Young Developers, UnLtd in 2011. With an educational background that includes a BA in Politics and East European Studies from University College London (UCL) and a Public Policy degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Lotifa has demonstrated a strong commitment to advocacy and public policy throughout the career.
