Sean Blair

President at Mutare

For Sean Blair, this question was answered four years ago by joining Mutare as Chief Operating Officer. In 2019, Sean became President of Mutare, leveraging over 25 years of diverse experience in the technology and software industry in both domestic and global markets to lead Mutare into its next phase of innovation and growth. He has previously served in various executive roles including CEO, CFO, COO, and led IT infrastructure enhancements into world class data centers.

Sean has transformed legacy platforms into scalable SaaS solutions that meet the needs of a wide range of industries. His specialty is systems that deal with high volumes of transactions and data that feed analytics to allow customers full insight into their operations.

Sean spent the first half of his career at large, global companies such as ADP and American Airlines’ SABRE division, learning how enterprises address and scale high volumes of transactions and data. The second portion was spent effectively serving in multiple executive roles including CEO, CFO and COO at various small to mid-sized technology companies.

Aided by a marketing degree from Boston College and an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business (pre-Booth, for those who know), he has brought a wealth of experience to lead all aspects of Mutare’s operations and growth. And, to the delight of everyone in the office, he cooks bacon on Thursdays.

Living in Chicago with his wife, two semi-adult children and two dogs, he takes advantage of everything the world-class city of Chicago offers. He has served proudly and actively on the Board of Trustees for Children’s Home & Aid Society of Illinois, one of the largest and oldest child and family service agencies in Illinois.
