Syed Raza

Syed Raza is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at Mutual Benefit Group, where they are responsible for modernizing the IT landscape, implementing Duck Creek, and driving digital transformation, automation, and innovation in personal and commercial lines as well as data analytics. Prior to this, they worked as the Strategic Technology Initiatives Program Director at The City University of New York from 2019 to 2022, overseeing technology initiatives across multiple colleges. Syed also held the position of Managing Director of Information Technology at Arch Re from 2017 to 2019 and Vice President of Information Technology at Hub International Northeast Limited from 2008 to 2016. Syed served as the Business Analysis Manager at INTEGRO - International Integrated Insurance Brokers LLC from 2006 to 2008, where they supervised a team of business analysts and developed web-based applications. Syed gained experience as a Senior Business Systems Analyst at AIG from 2005 to 2006 and AEGIS Insurance Services from 1999 to 2005. Syed began their career as a Business Analyst at Quest Diagnostics from 1995 to 1999.

Syed Raza holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Systems, which was obtained from Stevens Institute of Technology between 1997 and 1999. Prior to that, they pursued an MBA degree in Marketing at Philippine Christian University from 1988 to 1990. In addition to their formal education, Syed Raza has also obtained certifications such as "Change Management: Roadmap to Planning" from LinkedIn in January 2022 and "Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)" from Scrum Alliance in December 2019.
