Derek R. Mcclain

Derek R. Mcclain is the current Director at Mutual of Omaha. Derek has extensive experience in the real estate and project management industries, having served in various leadership roles over the course of their career.

Mcclain began their career in 1998 as the Chief Financial Officer for Trammell Crow Company. Derek then spent nine years with Davaco Inc., eventually becoming the Director. In 2007, they began working with CBRE Global Investors as a Consulting Engagement. Derek remained with CBRE until 2011, when they became the interim Chief Financial Officer for Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company.

In addition to their work with Mutual of Omaha, Mcclain has also served on the board of directors for The McShane Companies and Savills plc. Derek is currently a Lead Independent Director for Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company.

Derek R. Mcclain has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of California, Berkeley with a finance concentration. Derek also has a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, they have a Master of Science (M.S.) from The University of Kansas in business administration with a computer science concentration.
