Alex de Chaves

Alex de Chaves has a diverse work experience in the technology and media industries. They started their career at MLB Network, where they held various roles in media management, including Media Management Broadcast Associate, Media Management Associate, and eventually Media Management Technical Specialist. In 2018, they joined Vimeo as a Video Support Manager, overseeing support operations. From 2020 onwards, Alex has been working at Mux, initially as a Support Engineer, then as the Senior Support Engineer and Team Lead, and currently as a Software Engineer, DevEx.

Alex de Chaves has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Broadcasting and Mass Communication from the State University of New York at Oswego. This degree was obtained from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, Alex completed an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Media Technology and Management from Kingsborough Community College from 2011 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, Alex has also obtained certifications in Javascript Development from General Assembly in February 2020 and EVS Multicam Training from EVS Broadcast Equipment in February 2015.
