Steve Kandel

Steve Kandel began their work experience in 1999 as a Teacher at Virginia Stevenson Elementary School. Steve worked in this role until 2005, when they transitioned to become the Principal of Saville Elementary School. At Saville Elementary, Steve worked to create a positive culture and emphasized character education. Steve held this position for 17 years until September 2022. Most recently, in July 2022, Steve became the Chief Operating Officer at Miami Valley Child Development Centers, Inc.

Steve Kandel completed their Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching at the University of Dayton from 1994 to 1999. Steve then pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from the same university, completing it from 2003 to 2006. Additionally, Steve holds the Ohio Teaching License in Elementary Education, Grades 1-8 and the Ohio Principal License in Elementary and Middle School, PK-6, 4-9, both obtained from the Ohio Department of Education.
