Alan T. Fogleman

Alan Fogleman has been practicing law since 2011. Prior to joining the team at MVP Law, Alan was a prosecutor who achieved the rank of Senior Assistant District Attorney. Having gained invaluable courtroom experience as a prosecutor, Alan joined MVP in 2017 and is a member of the civil litigation insurance defense group.

In addition to general liability matters, Mr. Fogleman regularly handles trucking and commercial automobile liability defense for regional, national, and international logistics, transportation and delivery companies. In addition to this practice, Mr. Fogleman is often involved with retail liability, including the defense of restaurants, hotels and retailers for premises liability and wrongful death claims. He defends professional liability matters including the defense of attorney legal malpractice claims. Mr. Fogleman has provided coverage opinions as well as the defense of extra-contractual and bad faith claims for insurance carriers.

Mr. Fogleman provides insight to clients and industry professionals in all areas of his practice on a regular basis through various seminars and presentations. Mr. Fogleman is a member of the Transportation Lawyers Association. He was also selected for the 2018 and 2019 Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for the Missouri/Kansas market.

Mr. Fogleman is engaged in various civic and professional activities. He serves as Secretary for the Board of Directors for the Franklin Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He is also a Board of Directors member for the KCK Chamber of Commerce. As part of his Chamber responsibilities he is a member of the legislative committee. A member of the Wyandotte County Bar Association, Mr. Fogleman has served the Bar Association on the Board of Governors, as Secretary, as a co-chair of the membership committee, and as the chair of the golf committee. Mr. Fogleman is a graduate of Leadership 2000, Class 28. Mr. Fogleman as given back to his alma mater by participating in the mentor program with the University of Kansas School of Law. He also enjoys volunteering in the Lead to Read program with USD 500 where he gets to read with first grade students once a week.
