Karl L. Wenger

Attorney at MVP Law

Karl Wenger began his career at MVP and has worked at the firm for 12 years. He successfully defends workers' compensation claims for self-insured employers and insurance carriers in both Kansas and Missouri.

He frequently argues cases before the Kansas Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board and recently defended the attack on the Kansas Exclusive Remedy Doctrine in the claim of Francisco Pardo v. United Parcel Service at the Kansas Court of Appeals. While the Court of Appeals found the Act was unconstitutional as it applied to Mr. Pardo, Mr. Wenger was able to convince the Court his remedy still remained within the KS Workers’ Compensation Act, which effectively excluded Mr. Pardo from suing his employer in district court.

Mr. Wenger is the chair of MVP’s recruiting committee and also serves on the KS Department of Labor Workers’ Compensation Seminar committee. Away from work Mr. Wenger enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and daughters.
