Kendra M. Oakes

Kendra Oakes represents the interests of public and private employers and insurance carriers in all stages and aspects of workers’ compensation litigation in Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. She has successfully litigated cases before the Kansas and Missouri Divisions of Workers’ Compensation, Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Court, Kansas Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, Missouri Labor and Industrial Relations Commission, and appellate courts in Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.

Ms. Oakes manages the firm’s Medicare Practice Group. She regularly speaks at seminars and conferences on Medicare Secondary Payer Act Compliance in workers’ compensation and liability claims, as well as various topics in workers’ compensation law.

Ms. Oakes serves as an Ambassador to Kansas City for the Alliance of Women in Workers’ Compensation. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Base Academy of Music, a non-profit providing private music lessons to urban youth in Kansas City.

Ms. Oakes currently resides in Kansas City with her husband and their two dogs. She enjoys golfing, watching football, and cheering on the Jayhawks.
