Kristina S. Mulvany

Kristina Mulvany has been practicing law for six years and is a shareholder at MVP law. Ms. Mulvany represents employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation matters in Kansas and Missouri. Ms. Mulvany counsels employers and claims managers on all facets of the workers’ compensation process from compliance with statutory requirements to effective claims handling. She also prepares Medicare set aside proposals in workers’ compensation cases involving Medicare-eligible claimants.

Ms. Mulvany has successfully litigated cases in both Kansas and Missouri. She has prevailed on both oral arguments and written briefs before the Kansas Workers Compensation Board of Appeals. Additionally, Ms. Mulvany routinely speaks to employers and attorneys in the field of workers’ compensation, providing training and updates on Kansas and Missouri law as well as Medicare Set Aside Trusts.

Prior to law school, Ms. Mulvany worked as a teacher with Teach for America, a national teacher corps of college graduates and professionals who commit to teach for two years and raise student achievement in public schools. During this time, Ms. Mulvany taught middle school special education in Phoenix, Arizona and obtained her master’s degree in special education from Arizona State University. After devoting three years to teaching, Ms. Mulvany subsequently obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law. While attending UMKC Law she was a Comment Editor for the UMKC Law Review and a member of the National Moot Court team. During the regional Moot Court competition, Ms. Mulvany’s team was recognized as writing the best over-all brief.

Ms. Mulvany currently resides in Shawnee, Kansas with her husband and baby daughter. She enjoys traveling, running, and spending time with her family and friends.
