Paul Bresnan

Chief Executive Officer at MWH Treatment

Paul has a Mechanical Engineering background with over 30 years experience across the UK’s Utility sector including water, power networks, military and nuclear. He has direct design and construction experience in delivering some of the country’s most strategic assets at project, programme and business level. These have included the turnkey delivery of the channel tunnel electrification, BNFLs facility at Sellafields and the PSAs military fuelling strategy.

Paul joined MWH Treatment in 2014 as an Operations Director. In 2016 he was appointed Managing Director. He has responsibility for all areas of the business and direct ExCom responsibility for our United Utilities, Severn Trent and Thames Water frameworks .

In the last three years Paul has lead MWH Treatments transformation to a standalone corporate business. Paul has also lead several improvement initiatives. His strategic focus introduced Treatment’s Six Strategic Priorities approach to strategy and objectives. His safety first commitment has seen us appoint a Director level Head of Health and Safety. Pauls passion for meaningful staff engagement and staff growth has lead to the development and implementation of Treatments People Plan. Paul’s client relationship focus and collaborative sector leadership have been fundamental to our successful AMP7 campaign, after which MWH Treatment remain the water sectors most partnered solution provider.
