Ahmed Elsokaty has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ahmed started their career as a former trainee at Nasr Petroleum Company in 2015 and then moved on to El-Delta Company for fertilizers as another trainee. In 2016, Ahmed became a trainee at EZZSTEEL before joining ESME SU (Egyptian Society of Material Engineers) as an HR Officer. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a QC Engineer at Asec for manufacturing & industrial projects (ARESCO). Ahmed then transitioned to The American University in Cairo, where they served as a Research Assistant & Operations Engineer. Ahmed later became a Graduate Teaching Assistant from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they hold the role of WAAM Engineer at MX3D since 2023.

Ahmed Elsokaty completed their Bachelor of Engineering in metallurgical and materials engineering from the Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering at Suez University. Ahmed attended this program from 2012 to 2017. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Science in Mechanical and Materials Engineering at The American University in Cairo, starting in 2021.

They are considered industry leader by their peers and an inspiration to all those new to 3D printing big in metal with wire arc additive manuacturing (WAAM).The company sells a complete turnkey solution integration sensors, software, robot and welding equipment in one product.MX3D licenses a complete, end 2 end software stack, MetalXL, which includes CAM, feasibility check, tool path planning, active monitoring and data logging. MetalXL is dedicated to WAAM and is easy to use. MX3D also bult parts in house for clients that are considering buying a machine.
