Dan Zupancic, MBA, PMP, CSM, Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist, has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over 16 years. Dan has held various roles in different companies, demonstrating their adaptability and versatility.

Most recently, Dan has been working as a Senior Project Engineer at MxD since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Operations and Continuous Improvement at Nidec-Shimpo America from 2017 to 2020. In this role, they were responsible for managing all processes and analyzing production budgets, evaluating performance, assessing risks, and establishing quality standards.

Before their time at Nidec-Shimpo America, Dan worked at MRV Systems from 2016 to 2017. Dan held the position of Director of Manufacturing Operations, where they oversaw manufacturing, quality, production, and procurement. Dan also served as the Senior Manufacturing Engineer and was recognized for their leadership in improving operations, leading to their promotion to Director of Operations within six months.

Prior to that, Dan held the role of Engineering Manager at Skolnik Industries, Inc. from 2015 to 2015 and served as a Manufacturing/Process Engineer at Lenze Americas Corporation from 2012 to 2015. Dan was responsible for managing design and manufacturing engineers, updating engineering department procedures, and leading continuous improvement projects.

Dan also has experience as a Senior Program Manager at Palladium Energy from 2011 to 2012, overseeing engineering and manufacturing teams on various projects. Earlier in their career, they worked at Electromotive Diesels, Inc from 2005 to 2011, where they held roles such as Project Engineer, ISO9001:2008 Internal Auditor, Production Supervisor, and Drafter.

Throughout their career, Dan has demonstrated their expertise in project management, continuous improvement, operations management, and manufacturing engineering. Dan holds an MBA and various certifications, including PMP, CSM, and Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist.

Dan Zupancic, MBA, PMP, CSM, Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist, obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, where they studied from 2009 to 2011. Prior to their MBA, Dan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, although the specific dates of their undergraduate education were not provided.

In addition to their degrees, Dan has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Dan completed the DevOps Engineer certification from Simplilearn in January 2022, following their completion of the DevOps Practitioner Training from the same institution in February 2021. Dan also holds the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in December 2020. Furthermore, Dan earned the Certified Associate - Mechanical Design (CSWA) certification from SOLIDWORKS® Certification Center in September 2017. Additionally, they successfully completed the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification offered by The Project Management Institute (PMI) in March 2013, demonstrating their expertise in project management. Finally, Dan obtained the Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in January 2021, further highlighting their knowledge and proficiency in agile methodologies.
