Zahra Majeed has a diverse work experience. Zahra started their career in 2004 as a Corps Member and Teacher at Teach for America. Zahra then worked as a Resident in Social Enterprise at New Sector Alliance in 2007 and as a Program Manager, Human Capital at The New Teacher Project from 2008 to 2010. In 2012, Zahra served as a Graduate Fellow at Education Pioneers. Zahra then worked at Hartford Public Schools as an Elementary Guide at Annie Fisher Montessori Magnet School from 2011 to 2013. From 2013 to 2018, Zahra held the position of Elementary Director and Guide at Aidan Montessori School. In 2017, they joined Twinleaf Education as Director and Independent Consultant. In 2020, Zahra founded their own company, My Field Trip, where they currently serve as the Founder and CEO. In 2023, they became the Founder in Residence at Platform Venture Studio.
Zahra Majeed holds a Master of Science (MS) in Education from The Johns Hopkins University. Zahra also earned a BA cum laude in Economics and Business from The Ohio State University. Furthermore, they obtained an AMI Elementary Montessori Diploma and Primary Orientation from Loyola University Maryland, specifically the Washington Montessori Institute.
