Sarah Jenna has diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Sarah is currently working as a Coach - Executive consultant at ACET and as an Instructor & Entrepreneur in Residence at Lab2Market, both starting in December 2022. Previously, they co-founded and served as the CEO of My Intelligent Machines, starting in March 2017. Sarah also held the position of Co-founder and VP of products at My Intelligent Machines from June 2016 to February 2017.
Sarah has been an active member in different organizations and boards. Sarah served as a Board Member at PINQ² - Plateforme d'innovation numérique et quantique since December 2020 and as a Member of the Board of Director at BIOQuébec since July 2020. Sarah was also a Member of the Industrial Committee for Technology Transfer at IVADO starting in January 2019. Additionally, Sarah has been a Mentor at Techstars since August 2018 and a Member of the Board of Directors at CQDM - Enabling Drug Discovery/Accélérer la découverte du médicament since September 2019.
Sarah's academic background includes a position as a Professor and Canada Research Chair in Integrative genomics and cell signaling at Université du Québec à Montréal. Sarah directed the IGCS lab, focusing on Rho GTPase regulation and genetic interactions in the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans. This position lasted from October 2006 to September 2020.
In the future, Sarah will be an Instructor & Mentor at District 3 Centre D'Innovation, starting in February 2023 and ending in April 2023.
Sarah Jenna's education history includes a range of studies in the field of biology and sustainability. In 1990, they earned an equivalent Bsc in cell biology and physiology from Université Aix-Marseille II. Sarah further pursued their studies at Université Aix-Marseille II / Montpellier I and obtained a Master's degree in cell biology, with a specialization in genetics and virology from 1993 to 1995. Continuing their academic journey, Sarah completed a doctorate in Philosophy (PhD) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at Université Aix-Marseille I from 1995 to 1998. To enhance their knowledge, they attended an intensive course on C. elegans genetics at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in 2003. To stay updated on current industry practices, they also attended MIT Professional Education in 2023, where they focused on sustainability strategies and opportunities for industry.
