Julien Gueritee

Julien Gueritee has a diverse work experience in the fields of research and development, specializing in human physiology and innovative clothing design. Julien co-founded Clim8 in 2016 and served as the R&D Director, working on B2B heating technologies for clothing and accessories. Prior to that, they worked as a researcher for the French Ministry of Defence, focusing on human physiology in extreme environments. Julien also founded and served as a consultant for Smart Celsius from 2014 to 2015. Before that, they worked as an R&D engineer for Decathlon, where they focused on the impact of fabric, fit, and design on users' temperature sensations. Julien has also conducted research at the University of Portsmouth's Extreme Environments Laboratory, where they worked as a researcher and a PhD candidate. During their time there, they contributed to understanding human thermophysiology and its application in creating innovative sports clothing. Julien started their career as a Junior Research Assistant at INSERM in 2009. Julien Gueritee completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Thermophysiology: Human temperature regulation, perception, and comfort from the University of Portsmouth. Julien also holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Human Physiology - Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biology from the Université de Tours. In 2016, they participated in the EMLYON Business School Mentoring Program. Additionally, they completed an Accelerator program in Internet of things - Wearables - Emerging technologies at Wearable IoT World Labs in 2016. Julien has also obtained several certifications, including "Making Decisions," "Transitioning from Manager to Leader," "Learning from Failure," and "Understanding Patents: A Deeper Dive" from LinkedIn.
