Maud Ohler

Maud Ohler has a strong background in fermentation and technology development. Maud is currently the Vice President of Technology Development at MycoWorks. Prior to this, they worked at Amyris as the Associate Director of Fermentation Lab Operations from February 2020 to July 2022. Before that, they held multiple roles at Zymergen, Inc., including Fermentation scientist in Process Development and Scale-up, Products from February 2019 to February 2020, and Fermentation Scientist in Test, Centers of Excellence from August 2017 to February 2019. Maud also worked at Evolva SA as a Research Scientist in Fermentation from August 2013 to July 2017. Maud'searliest work experience was as a PhD student at Laboratoire d'Ingénierie des Systèmes Biologiques et des Procédés (LISBP) from October 2010 to September 2013, where they focused on the growth and lipid accumulation of Rhodotorula glutinis for fuel applications.

Maud Ohler obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Fermentation from the Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Toulouse between 2010 and 2013. Prior to this, they completed an Engineering degree at the master's level in Biotechnology from Polytech Marseille, from 2007 to 2010. Maud also attended CPGE BCPST Ozenne, Toulouse in 2006-2007 and CPGE BCPST Lycée Jean-Baptiste SAY, Paris from 2004 to 2006, although their degree and field of study during this period are unknown.
