Wesley Taylor-Rendal has worked in the field of FPGA engineering since 2011. Wesley began their career at Lockheed Martin as a System Engineer, where they worked on various projects for nine months as a Hardware & Firmware Design Engineer, eight months as a Test & Integration Systems Engineer on AS&W, six months as a Requirements Systems Engineer on Scout SV, three months as a Research Engineer on Internal Research & Development (IRAD), and three months as a Modelling Engineer on Warrior WCSP. In 2014, they moved to Selex ES as a Firmware Engineer, where they had complete ownership of the product's firmware, including functional firmware and synthesisable testbenches to stimulate the product in thermal, vibration, and altitude testing. In 2016, they joined EnSilica Limited as a Senior FPGA Engineer. In 2017, they became the Director of FPGA MASON ltd, a design consultancy service specializing in FPGA solutions in the domains of Space, Electronic Warfare, and Cryptographic Communication. Wesley took a paternity hiatus in this role. In 2021, they began working as an FPGA Engineer at MyDefence.

Wesley Taylor-Rendal obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electronic & Electrical Engineering with Space Science from the University of Bath between 2006 and 2010.
