Jerome Chal

Jerome Chal has held numerous roles in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries since 2008. Jerome began their career as a Fellow - Postdoctoral Research Associate at Stowers Institute for Medical Research / HHMI, where they conducted research on pluripotent stem cell differentiation to model development of the musculoskeletal progenitors. From 2009 to 2014, Jerome worked as a Lead Scientist at Université de Strasbourg and as a Faculty Scientist at both Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital. In 2017, they were appointed Director of Research & Development at Coyne Scientific. In 2018, they joined Semma Therapeutics as a Senior Principal Scientist in Cell & Characterization Development. From 2019 to 2022, Jerome held various roles at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, including Executive Director of Analytical Sciences, Senior Director of Analytical Development, Director of Analytical Development, and Associate Director/Senior Principal Scientist. Jerome is currently VP of Process Development & Analytics at Myeloid Therapeutics.

Jerome Chal has completed a PhD in Stem Cell and Developmental Biology from Pierre and Marie Curie University, a Master of Science in Molecular and Cellular Developmental Biology from Ecole normale supérieure, a Normalien in Molecular and Cellular Developmental Biology from Ecole normale supérieure de Cachan, a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Université Paris Cité, and a Competitive Teaching Degree-Agregation in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Life Sciences from École normale supérieure de Lyon.
