David holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law, obtained between 1990 and 1993, and a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University, completed in 1990. Earlier education was obtained at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics from 1984 to 1986.
