Scott Kennon

Scott Kennon has been the Director of Golf Course Operation at Myers Park Country Club since October 2007. Previous to his employment at Myers Park, Scott was employed as the construction superintendent and then golf course superintendent at The Highland Course at Primland in Meadows of Dan, Virginia from 2003-2007. Preceding that he was employed at The Country Club of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia from 1999-2003. After attending the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and majoring in Business from 1987-1991, Scott found his passion while working a summer job at The Landfall Club in Wilmington. It was that experience that redirected Scott’s career objectives and in 1993 he successfully completed his studies at Wayne Community College in Goldsboro, NC earning a degree in Turfgrass Management. Then in 2003, Scott successfully completed the GCSAA’s Certification Program Requirement to become a Certified Golf Course Superintendent (CGCS).
