Allen Cox

Allen Cox has a diverse background in the field of cybersecurity and IT. Allen is currently working at MyFitnessPal as the Sr. Director of Security & IT, where they are responsible for implementing corporate IT resources and security controls. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Security and IT at MyFitnessPal, where they developed and executed a strategic roadmap to build the department and meet security objectives.

Before joining MyFitnessPal, Allen worked at Blizzard Entertainment as a Senior Manager of Security Operations, where they led the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and managed a team of engineers and analysts. Allen also served as a Manager of Incident Response at Blizzard Entertainment, where they led the incident detection and response team and implemented enhancements to the GSOC's capabilities.

Additionally, in 2021, they participated in the Technical Management Program at UCLA Extension. In terms of certifications, Allen has obtained several certifications, including the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) from Offensive Security in December 2015, the GIAC Defensible Security Architecture (GDSA) from GIAC Certifications in March 2022, and the GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA) from GIAC Certifications in October 2021, among others. In 2012, Allen also earned the Security+ certification from CompTIA.
